How should we write a first paragraph

Indent the first line of a paragraph

To indent the first line of a paragraph, place the cursor at the beginning of the paragraph and press the TAB key. When you press ENTER to start the next paragraph, its first line will be indented.

Tip: If you want to change the indentation for paragraphs that have already been written, use the method with the TAB key on the first paragraph as described above. Then place the cursor at the beginning of the next paragraph. Press BACKSPACE and then ENTER. Repeat the process for the following paragraphs.

Default first line indent

If you always want a first line indent, change the default format template:

  1. Place the cursor anywhere in the paragraph.

  2. Click the tab begin right-click on the style sheet default, and choose To change out.

  3. Choose format and then paragraph out.

  4. Select on the tab Indents and spaces under Indent the option First line out.

  5. Choose OK out.

  6. Choose again OK out.

Note: If you want to have a first-line indent every time you start a new document, select the option New documents based on this template off before you OK choose.
