Hello everybody,

I currently have to create a fault analysis for server failures.

My problem now is the implementation in Excel, I am already doubting whether this is even possible with Excel.

I have the following data:
Date, time of the fault, time of rectification
I don't really care about the time of the fix ...

This is what my diagram should look like at the end:

Aim:
Disturbance as a bar with time.
If there is more than one fault on the same day, 2 bars.

How do I do that, if it's even possible?
I already have doubts about the labeling of the date axis.
Excel automatically shows me 7 days as the interval.
But I only want to have a date displayed if times are actually available.

Thanks and regards
Michael

The important dates are the date and time.
In order to show that something happened several times in one day and at what time it happened.

Hello

Take a look ...
I know that you actually only wanted the relevant data on the axis, but for that your data source would have to be designed completely different.

It is not the goal yet, but a good step in the right direction!
Thanks for your work.

I'll check it out again tomorrow.

I have still one question !

Where did you get the value of 0.0416666 for the hourly interval?
And what would be the value for a half-hour interval?

Thanks and regards

Hello

Just write 1:00 or 0:30 in a cell and then format it as a number.

I've played around a little again and came to the result in the appendix.
Now he shows me faults 1 and 2 already times.
But no more after fault 3 and 4.

Can someone take a look over there?
Where is the upload assistant, please?
The help file upload doesn't get me any further because the attachment control center is missing!

Thanks and regards
