Change personal settings for language and region

You can view your Microsoft SharePoint display language, time zone, country / region and related settings at any time via your personal profile page, which you can access from your desktop or mobile devices. If your organization's policies allow, you can also change your language and region settings. Your settings only apply to your view of your organization's SharePoint and do not affect how other people view those sites.

  • If you are working in an environment with on-premises SharePoint sites managed by your organization rather than a Microsoft 365 environment, your site collection administrator must provide the language you can use before following the language-dependent instructions in this article can use.

  • If you change your language to SharePoint and then to Microsoft 365, the Microsoft 365 setting overrides the SharePoint setting. For more information, see Change the display language in Microsoft 365.

How to change your personal settings for language and region

  1. Select your name or picture on top of any SharePoint or Microsoft 365 in your organization.

  2. Choose My Office Profile and then Update profile.

  3. Choose You How can I change language and regional settings? and then choose the link here out.

  5. Update the settings. You can use the table below as a guide.

  6. Choose They all save and exclude.

  1. At the top of any SharePoint or Microsoft 365 site in your organization, click your name or picture.

If you add multiple languages ​​you can move the up and down in the Use my content and search field to specify the order in which to use these languages. For example, if you want to use French as the primary language and English only when French is not available, select the arrows to make sure that French is the highest priority.

To delete a language, select the Option X next to the language.

Note: Select the appropriate settings for the language and region options to ensure a consistent display. In this way you can e.g. For example, avoid using English on an Arabic calendar.

Time zone

Choose the Time Zone field and then your current time zone from the list. If you can't edit this setting, on the next line under Select Settings, select Always use regional settings out,those from your administrator have been defined. Set your calendar

Select a calendar type from the drop-down list. If you want the week numbers to be displayed, activate Show week numbers in the date navigator.

If necessary, select an alternative calendar type.

Define the working week

Select the days of the week that are working days. For example, if you work Tuesday through Saturday, enable these fields.

Time format

Choose the Time Format field and then 12 hours or 24 hours off.
