Bets are made on Indian elections

As part of the annual conference, the Kleve district association for home care held its 2017 general meeting in the House of Associations in Geldern-Pont.
The chairman Hans-Gerd Kersten welcomed around 60 representatives of the local associations from the entire Kleve district to this conference. He then reported on the past financial year. Treasurer Bernhard Lohmann explained the cash report and informed about a balanced budget.
After the discharge of the board, elections were held. Hans-Gerd Kersten was unanimously re-elected as chairman. Since managing director Franz Heckens was forced to give up his office for professional reasons, the representatives of the local associations unanimously decided in favor of Jürgen Graven from Louisendorf as the new managing director.
The 16-member advisory board was re-elected in its entirety, with Heinz Jansen from Goch and Franz Heckens from Kevelaer being appointed.
The chairman then outlined the framework agreements for the new liability and accident insurance, presented the new rules of honor of the district association and reported on the competition “Our village has a future”. The vice-chairwoman Hubertina Croonenbroek congratulated all participating villages on their good results. She particularly congratulated the gold villages Louisendorf, Pont and Schaephuyen, which will represent the Kleve district in the state competition in 2018.
After the election of the commissions for the association's own competitions, the deputy chairman Josef Jörissen gave a lecture on the “Open Garden Day”, which will take place in 2018 on June 24th. He also reported on the steadily increasing number of participant gardens.
At the end of the meeting, the first events for 2018 were presented.
