Our former graduate Alina Schaefer will present the results of her master's thesis on "Effects of hypertrophy strength training of the upper body on lung function in people with COPD" at the Sports, Medicine and Health Summit 2021. This year, the summit will take place virtually from April 20 to 24, 2021. Miss Dr. Steinmetz and Dr. With the University Medical Center Göttingen and the Rehabilitation Center Junge, classes establish a new rehabilitation sports group especially for patients with heart failure. This cardiac sports group is regularly accompanied scientifically by the two of them and supervised by Göttingen sports students as instructors.

10th annual meeting of the dvs commission for apparatus gymnastics, September 3rd-5th, 2018, Göttingen

From September 3rd to 5th, 2018, the 10th annual meeting of the dvs commission for apparatus gymnastics took place at the Institute for Sport Science of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. The motto of the conference was "Train and impart gymnastics" from a scientific and applied perspective. Current research and projects from the various areas of technical-compensatory sports related to gymnastics, apparatus gymnastics and trampolines were thematized and discussed at the conference.

A total of around 50 participants from Japan, Egypt and Germany, including professors, academic staff and students from universities and colleges of education, staff from gymnastics associations and trainers took part in the conference. They were offered an extensive program with a total of three main lectures, 18 short lectures, a poster presentation and exhibition as well as three practical workshops.

Best flashlight at the asp conference 2018 in Cologne
At the 50th annual meeting of the Working Group for Sport Psychology, Pia Vinken wins the new lecture format "Flash lectures for young scientists". With her lecture on the perception of aesthetics in dance, she was able to convince the jury and the audience in a format comparable to a science slam, received the most applause and thus the prize for the best rated flashlight presentation.
The award and recognition are a great incentive for further work within the framework of the Dorothea Schlözer postdoc position.
