Free citizen test in Berlin

Frequently asked questions

What are the free trials?

As part of the Berlin protection test concept, every resident of Berlin can undergo a free rapid antigen test in our test center.

How often am I entitled to a free rapid antigen test?

You can have yourself tested once per week with the rapid antigen test, free of charge. If you would like to be tested several times a week, costs of € 35 per test will be incurred from the second rapid antigen test.

What do I do if the test result is positive?

If there is a suspicion of an infection with SARS-CoV-2, according to the Infection Protection Act, the disease must be reported to the responsible health authority. It is imperative that you go into quarantine so that the disease does not spread any further.

If you have performed a rapid antigen test, this must be confirmed by a PCR test. You can find the health department responsible for you on this website: https://tools.rki.de/PLZTool/

If the test result is positive, you will receive further information afterwards.

I have symptoms, can I take the citizen test?

If you have symptoms that indicate an infection with the corona virus, we are not allowed to test you. Please go to quarantine at home and consult your family doctor or the health department responsible for you.
