How do I update Google Play apps

Update Google Play Store - This is how it works

The Google Play Store is the app store for all your games and applications on most Android devices. If problems arise when using the store, a necessary update can be the solution. We'll show you how to update the Google Play Store.

As a rule, like most of the preinstalled applications on your smartphone, the Google Play Store updates itself automatically. If this is not the case and you have problems with the performance of the app store, a manual update may help. With a few clicks you can easily update the Google Play Store.

Update the Google Play Store

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Click the three-line menu in the top left.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. In the settings, scroll all the way down to the current one Play Store version.
  5. Click on the Play Store version. A message will now appear asking whether the Google Play Store is up to date. If this is not the case, you will be given the opportunity to install the latest update directly here.

Update apps and games in the Google Play Store

You also set the Google Play Store to automatically update all apps and games. To do this, open the Settings and click on Automatic app updates. Now you choose whether the updates should be automatically updated via any network, only via WLAN or not at all.

If an app does not update itself automatically, the update must also be carried out manually here:

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Click on the three-line menu in the top right.
  3. Tap My apps and games.
  4. You can now use the Pending updates individually or Refresh all.
