What do you think of animals

Animal professional - ethics

Animals as specials, sports equipment and social media stars. How do you feel about animals?

This lesson book will inspire you to think: Why do people have so different opinions about animals and what is behind them? How can we reflect our attitude towards animals and how is it possible to discuss with people who disagree? With the help of role plays and reflection questions, young people can become aware of their attitude towards animals. A respectful and objective culture of discussion is the basis for making the dialogue lively and open.

In the story and in the role-play about Jonathan and his goat, the question is asked what importance farm animals have for us and how we ethically justify our different attitudes and implement them in everyday life. Other stories, for example about how we treat pets, are also thought-provoking. Interviews with experts deal, for example, with the dignity of animals and a new attitude towards meat as a food.

The instruction booklet contains tips and instructions for further discussions and role-plays.
