How can I connect

How can we help you?

The most common reason you can't connect to WhatsApp is because your phone is temporarily disconnected from the internet.

To be sure that your internet connection is working, check the following:

  1. You have a data plan in your cellular network or a WiFi connection with internet access.
  2. Make sure the signal strength for your Wi-Fi connection or cellular network is strong and your phone is connected to the internet.
  3. Open a website on your phone's browser to see if the page loads. When it builds up, your phone is connected to the internet!
  4. Reboot your phone.

If you still can't connect

If you can't connect to the internet using your phone's data connection, try connecting to one or more Wi-Fi networks. If you can open websites and other applications work on your phone that also connect to the Internet, but WhatsApp still does not connect, learn more about the topic here: Android | iPhone

If you can connect to your data network with other apps but not WhatsApp, your wireless service provider may have configured your wireless access points (APN) to block various apps. If WhatsApp still doesn't work with your data plan, try these steps:

  1. Contact your wireless service provider and ask how you need to set the access points (APN) in order to use chat applications.
  2. You should be given instructions on how to manually configure your data network and web settings.
