Is Pikkon a part of Universe 7

Dragon Ball Super - That's why Yamcha is not in the Tournament of Power

An article on the current Tournament of Strength explains the absence of some of the strongest fighters from Dragon Ball, as well as the absence of Yamcha.

He recently became the hero of his own story in manga form, but the anime doesn't mean it well to him. The ex-bandit Yamcha has contributed little to the fights since Dragon Ball Z, even by human standards, in his most famous moments in the series and in Dragon Ball Super he was face-down in the dirt after less glamorous defeats. Reason enough that he did not make it to the ten elite fighters who are supposed to save Universe 7 from extinction, but the Japanese magazine Animedia lists more precise reasons for the absence of him and other fighters, as Comic Book reports.

Videl does not take part for Gohan's sake, her father Mr. Satan has withdrawn his participation, Buu has trained himself to become unconscious, Goten and Trunks are too young, Yajirobe would be helpless without weapons and Yamcha was not even asked by Goku because he asked him forgot. Even the absence of Arale from Dr. Slump, another series by Akira Toriyama, was brought up, but the lack of it was only regretted.

That's not even Dragon Ball's first story aspect that arose out of a holey memory. The schizophrenic lunch did not appear in history for a long time because Toriyama himself completely forgot about its existence.

Yamcha could at least appear in a different form in Dragon Ball Super in the near future. As his spokesman Tôru Furuya announced, he has already spoken a lot of lines for his character.
