Google Indic Keyboard allows you to type messages, update on social networks, or compose emails in your own native language on your Android phone. It currently includes the following keyboards:

- English keyboard
- Assamese keyboard (অসমীয়া)

- Gujarati keyboard (ગુજરાતી)
- Hindi keyboard (हिंदी)

If you can read your language in the native script at the top of your phone, you can use the Google Indic Keyboard to enter your language;

Google Indic Keyboard supports different input methods:

- Transliteration mode - output in your native language by pronouncing the pronunciation with English letters (e.g. "namaste" & gt; "नमस्ते".)

- Native keyboard mode - Type directly in the native script.

- Handwriting mode (currently only available for Hindi) - Write directly on your phone screen.

- Hinglish Mode - If you choose Hindi as your input language, the English keyboard suggests both English and Hinglish terms.

How can I activate it and set it as my default keyboard?
- On Android 5.x and newer versions:
Open Settings - & gt; Language & amp; Enter under "KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS", go to Current Keyboard - & gt; Select keyboards - & gt; Check "Google Indic Keyboard" - & gt; Back to "Language & Input" - & gt; Current keyboard - & gt; Select "English & Indian Languages ​​(Google Indic Keyboard)" When entering an input field, you can also change the default input method by clicking the keyboard icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
- On Android 4.x:
Open Settings - & gt; Language & amp; Enter under KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS, click Google Indic Keyboard, then click Standard and select Google Indic Keyboard in the Select Input Method dialog box.
When entering an input field, you can also change the default input method by selecting "Select input method" in the notification area.
