What is the best Dalai Lama book

  • To ask?
  • How many books by the Dalai Lama are there actually? And which one should I ...
1) NONE (lets write)
2) The Road to Happiness (Jeffrey Hopkins)
There are several biographies, but only one authorized one, namely "Dalai Lama: Monk, Mystic, Man - The Authorized Biography" by Mayank Chhaya. In addition, however, an autobiography has also appeared under the title "My spiritual autobiography". My reading tip: "Seven years in Tibet: My life at the court of the Dalai Lama" by Heinrich Harrer (filmed with Brad Pitt).

Oh dear. I just found at least 30 books. The Rinpoche wrote very little alone but always in connection with some co-authors. The "Book of Humanity" from the Bastei-Lübbe publishing house is probably mostly from his pen. Perhaps you should start with the "Rules of Luck for Everyday Life" from Herder-Verlag.

Hello, there are currently 17 books by Tendzin Gyatsho, the current Dalai Lama. As an introduction, I would recommend his autobiography: "The Book of Freedom. The Autobiography of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate", which was published in 2004 by Bastei Lübbe (Bergisch Gladbach).
